Then I decreased the size of the matrix using EDIT, TRANSFORM and SCALE
Then EDIT and PASTE to place the Matrix in his glasses.
To make a rollover graphic in Dreamweaver I click insert. media and rollover image. Then I get the original image I want to use for my rollover then I click to save both my orriginal image and finished image in the same folder.
Proposal I wanted to do my animation with Lego and cut outs because I didn't ge used to doing it with plasticine. The reason why I did my animation on Doctor Who is because it is one of my favourite TV Show. To get ideas I looked at other animations (Below) for research. We had a earlier class exercise to teach us how to use IStopMotion and the web camera. The class exercises helped me how to use the different features on IStopMotion.
To make this animation I will use:
HUE animation camera to film
IStopMotion to animate
IMovie to edit
GarageBand to add music to the animation
Improvements I would made
If I this was a proposal for a professional animation I would need a dedicated editing studio along with more time to complete it and a better looking TARDIS which I will would make out of lego. Animation Sequence
For my animation assignment I have decided I want to use lego I looked at a few animation sequences and images to give me ideas for my animation
Research
My Idea
I have decided to make my own scene from Doctor Who. The scene will be The Doctor using his sonic screwdriver to open the TARDIS doors and the TARDIS disappearing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs1FQOw5QI4 Sonic Screwdriver
This is the TARDIS that I will cut out for my animation. first of all I have to pt it in Photoshop to resize it so a lego figure can go through it.
This is the figure I will use for my own doctor who animation
This is the background I will used for my doctor who animation
I have recored the first few scenes of my short film using I Stop motion 3 then I saved it and went to file and export movie.I will make the TARDIS disappear by doing a slow fade ou in I Movie. I will have to cut away to when he goes through the doors.
I will use this image fo the TARDIS doors then I will use pen knife to cut the door open.
This is the animation of The Doctor going into the TARDIS and the door closing
I have created a video where I will make the TARDIS disappear.
Next I got a TARDIS image and opened Photoshop with the background. Then I gradually faded the TARDIS images out with the opacity tool.
This is the finished film which needs sound
Here is the sound I have put on my film. I have used three tracks Two Steps From Hell Destiny Of Mankind for the intro, I am the Doctor for when the Doctor goes in the TARDIS and the TARDIS takeoff sound for the end. I had to cut each song down to the right length and use the fade tool in Garageband.
Here is the finished film with the sound, titles, intro and credits
Evaluation
1. I think that the overall project went well all the way. The thing I got stuck on was how to make the TARDIS disappear but I got over that barrier by using a tool in photoshop to eventually make it disappear. I think that the TARDIS could be changed and I could possibly make one out of Lego.
2. My first decision was to make the animation out of Lego and I think that it was the right choice because I didn't like using plasticine to animate because it was greasy along with taking a long time to clear up also I had to use a hand-washer after each use. Then it was how to make the TARDIS. I made it by using a paper cut out because I didn't have enough Lego to make a TARDIS.
3. I think a strength I had when making the animation was how to use IMovie because I have used it to edit before. Also I feel I was good at using IStopMotion to animate because it was easy to use after getting taught how to use it. Another strength I had was using the webcam because it was easy to use. One of my weaknesses was at using GarageBand because I found it had to use because it was an updated version of GarageBand with the tools being moved around and then I couldn't find them.
4. I feel that I would make the TARDIS out of Lego if I had enough of it. Also I would have different ending credit music along with adding another character to go along with the Doctor.
Evaluating a professional animation
This Doctor Who film was made by BentheCreater on Youtube. It is about The Doctor saving his companion from 3 aliens. Between my video and his video I feel that his is better because his special effects are better than mine because they look more realistic. Also he made his TARDIS out of lego whereas mine is made of paper. Overall he has probably had more time to complete it than me has I have had a few weeks to do it.
Sound
I used a principals speech and then I took the audio off and replaced i in garageband with Gangnam style from PSY.
I deleted the old track and replaced it with Gangnam Style by using the track button and delete track. I then went to file and export movie to disk and put it in my blog.
This animated Gif of a stick figure waving move was made for fun. This is on a continues loop
My own animated GIF
This is the image that I have chosen to make my own animated Gif.
This animated Gif of a tennis ball moving and shrinking that I made move was made for fun. This is on a continues loop.
Looking at professional animated GIF'S http://www.aardman.com/
Here is a link to the Aardman website which has a animated GIF on the home page. It is on a loop and it is interactive because you click on a cartoon and it will do something. The Aardman GIF is more complex because mine is just a simple motion tween with no interactivity.
Editing my Life in a Day
To practice editing videos I practiced on my Life in a Day by cutting footage in IMovie. First i opened I Movie then exported the original movie and cut footage from the movie to shorten it down.
First I opened Adobe Flash CS3 then I opened ActionScript 3.0 and new. Then I found an image of SackBoy dressed as Ezio from Assassins Creed. Then I inserted a Keyframe which is single frame where a change will happen.
For my animation I did not create the sprite. A sprite is a graphic that you can use in Flash. A tween is changing a sprite from one frame to a keyframe. A motion tween moves between frames whereas a shape tween changes shape between frames. A vector graphic is made up of shapes and will never brake up whereas a raster graphic is made up of dots and brakes up into pixels. I exported the movie by going to File and Export Movie as a quick time movie
I used iStop Motion to create this short video. This type of video is called Pixilation The film is made up of individual frames where I moved a position each time and clicked the spacebar to take the photo. I then saved as a DV file so I could put it on my blog.
